People of Lebanon Stand in Solidarity with Syrian Minorities

A Stand of Solidarity from Lebanon

On March 9, 2025, the people of Lebanon made a powerful stand in solidarity with the victims of the massacres committed by HTS terrorists on the Syrian coast. Thousands gathered across Beirut, Tripoli, and Baalbek, holding vigils, carrying banners, and chanting against the senseless slaughter of civilians. This demonstration was not just an act of protest—it was a call for justice, accountability, and recognition of the suffering endured by the Alawite communities in Syria.

Lebanon, sharing deep historical, cultural, and familial ties with Syria, has been profoundly affected by the ongoing war. The Lebanese people, regardless of sect or political affiliation, stood united to condemn the atrocities and demand international action. Human rights organizations, activists, and religious leaders joined hands to ensure that these massacres are not forgotten, emphasizing the urgent need to hold HTS accountable for its war crimes.
